Our annual celebration of Fathers Day with a blue theme and a huge supper of savouries and sweets. The Fatherly theme carried through in the decorations (artist = Diana).

Club banner carried by Stephen (treasurer) and Robert (president) Banner parade Graham being interviewed by the ABC for a brief item on square dancing in Naracoorte Feature caller Howard Cockburn from Victoria with Graham Little Bo Peep may have lost her sheep but look what she picked up!!
Our SA State Convention this year was held at Naracoorte – about 4hrs drive south of Adelaide. Here are some photos from that weekend of our dancers and friends. Also a brief video of our club caller, Graham, calling with Outlaws dancers in the crowd.
2019-08 Club Dinner
This month we enjoyed a Mongolian Barbeque at the Kublai Khan Restaurant at Parkside. It’s essentially all you can eat and you select the ingredients and sauces and they cook it on a large wood fired BBQ plate. A great night out for our members.
2019-07 French Night
Our celebration of Bastille Day.
French costumes, food (and plenty of it) and music. A mix of learners and Mainstream.
2019 July 11th – High tea in the Barossa
The high tea – group 1 A high view of the high tea We had some lucky wheel spins! C’mon Alistair, it doesn’t cost much!! The high tea group 2 And the second group gets comfortable This is the way to listen to a talk!
We took up an invitation by local furniture manufacturer Wohlers to have a free high tea in their stores. The proviso was that we would have to listen to a talk on their range of comfy chairs – while sitting in them!! No problem – so we chose the store at Tanunda in the Barossa Valley and had a great day’s outing. As you see, the chairs were comfy enough to encourage some nap time!!
Club Dinner – July 2019
We owned that restaurant that night! Happy diners A Nepalese Bailey’s Ice Cream Graeme??
Our July Dinner was held at the Yeti Nepalese Restaurant on Goodwood Road. A small place that was completely filled with our club dancers. Interesting selection of spicy, curry and not so spicy food. Some great socialising too!
Club Dinners
Recently we instigated the idea of using the 2nd Wednesday in each month for a club dinner outing. This is the night our Plus club is normally closed (due to hall availability). Each month someone will suggest a local restaurant and we make a group booking. A nice way to socialise away from the business of a dance night.
These photos were taken at Lim’s Chinese restaurant in Glenelg in June
2019 June 10th – Pancake Night
Our annual Pancake night came around and again we enjoyed the cooking and antics of The Pancake King (Scott and Kay). It’s as much fun catching the pancakes as eating them! Great to have our learners and experienced dancers join in all the fun!
2019 May 23-26 – Weekend away to Kapunda, SA
In May 2019, our club enjoyed a weekend away in Kapunda, a small historic mining town about 1-1/2 hours drive north of Adelaide.
The weekend consisted of walking tours, drive along tour, a walk thru the mine area, an aviation museum and a tour of a magnificent homestead kept in the 1800’s style. Of course as you’ll see in the video there was a lot of eating in hotels, a BBQ, breakfast at a dancer’s home, more hotels (one even haunted!). And it wouldn’t be a club function without square dancing and we held a Fri night casual dress dance and a Saturday night square dance dress night all in the Kapunda Institute – Soldiers Memorial Hall.
