We’re thrilled to welcome new dancers to our club for the first of 5 open nights in June 2026. Our club members were there to help and to socialise and great to see some happy faces and laughter.

Our annual celebration of Mothers’ Day with a distinctive pink theme.

Some videos & photos of our visit. Thanks to our dressed set dancers for representing us. See if you can “spot” them in the photos!!

In early April, we held our annual Easter Dance. Dancing was a challenge – because the smell of hot cross buns wafted across the floor!!
Thanks to all who came and we hope you enjoyed the Hot cross buns & Easter eggs.

Our annual St Patrick’s dance. Starting with a spud meal from Ivy’s kitchen at the RSL we then danced to a selection of Irish songs and jigs. Great to see everyone in green and thanks to our helpers who assisted in the set up & supper.

Our learners have just completed the Mainstream program and are now integrated into the Monday night club. A celebration with presentation of certificates and a welcome pack from the SA Square Dance Society. Not to mention a magnificent basket supper too! At the end of this reel – a small tribute song to Neil Sedaka.

It was mid February & a chance to celebrate St Valentine’s Day. Mother Nature threw us a challenge with yet another very hot night – we were not deterred. A group of us came early for a dinner before the dance. Thanks goodness for aircon eh? We danced to love songs all night, people looked great in their reds/hearts etc and Dawn provided some great cheedecakes for supper. Thanks to all who supported this night. Thanks also to Elijah & the two Ians for calling some numbers too.

This came about on the spur of the moment. One Sunday in January, caller Graham Elliott & wife Dawn decided to go to the movie theatre on a particularly fierce hot day (42degC) and escape the heat. They saw “Song Sung Blue”. It inspired a night of Neil Diamond songs at the Square Dance Club.
Our annual Aussie Night – a celebration of Australia Day. In true Australian summer style, the temperature on this day was around 42 C (that’s 108 F)! By the time we arrived at the hall at 5pm to set up, it had dropped to 41! The airconditioning was working hard and despite the heat, we had 40 people booked in for the BBQ at the start. This was superbly cooked and catered by our venue hosts, the West Croydon Kilkenny RSL. Thanks to all who joined us and thanks to Dawn for providing the additional catering of pavlovas, cakes etc.

The final night for our Plus club on Wed 17th Dec 2025. A familiar tune!
