2020-04 Another wedding!

While we’re in this temporary recess, it’s great to hear some good news – and we’d love to share it.
Two of our learners have just got married. Congratulations to Richard and Mary Ann.
Once we’re back dancing we will certainly hold a wedding arch for you both to walk down. (We’ve had some practice with other couples recently!!).

2020-03 St Patrick’s spud Night

Just before we went into recess for the CV-19 pandemic, we did manage to hold our annual Spud Night. The night included a Spud meal catered by O’Laughlin’s Spuds – cooked at the hall.

Thanks to everyone who came along and dressed in green. It was an uplifting evening including square dancing to many Irish Jigs.

We look forward to staring up again and seeing all our dancing family out on the floor.

2020-02 Valentine’s Charity Dance

Our annual Valentine’s and Charity Dance. This year our Charity was the Wildlife Recovery Fund – supporting long term recovery strategy in this state following the devastating bushfires in Dec/Jan. A great night with our club members and new learners AND our pre-loved clothing sales you can see at the back of the hall. All proceeds going to the charity.

2019-12 Xmas Breakup

Christmas dance 2019

And so 2019 comes to an end. Here’s some images and video of our Xmas dinner and dance held on 16 Dec 2019. Fully catered roast by Cheryl’s Kitchen and a dance with all our Mon night groups – Learners, Intermediates and Mainstream.

Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New 2020.

2019-11 German visitors

We had the pleasure of welcoming two visitors from Germany – Ulrich and Anne Brandt who come from northern Germany near Hanover. Ulrich is also a caller of some 38 years experience and we had an opportunity to dance to him. Square Dancing does make this a small world!
