Our first batch of Club Mugs has arrived for those who placed orders. We’re looking to eliminate single use foam cups and this is a great way to make that happen! Would you like one? Personalised mugs can be ordered at the club.
2021-04 Easter Dance
Celebrating Easter! We began with a pre-dance meal by Ivy’s Kitchen – magnificent as usual!! Lovely crowd and very colourful too. A wonderful evening’s entertainment. We also reflected upon our friend Tim Cartmel – he would have enjoyed the night too!
2021-03 St Patrick’s Spud Night
Now well established in our new venue, this is our St Patricks Spud Night held on Mon March 15th 2021. Whislt we have been dancing for 6 months now since the restart after Covid , it is interesting to note that it is exactly one year since we had to shutdown when the Pandemic hit – our last night was St Patricks 2020.
This year – a great occasion with the resident chefs, Ivy’s Kitchen, cooking and serving up some beautifully cooked spuds and toppings. The night had a vibrant atmosphere with lots of Irish music and everyone dressed in green.
2021-02 Valentine’s Dance
Our annual Valentine’s Dance. This year we began with a meal beautifully prepared by Ivy’s Kitchen (https://www.ivyskitchen.com.au/) at the venue. With the club cabaret setting, it made for a wonderful atmosphere. Dancing followed for both our Intermediate and Mainstream groups and it was a Request Night as well. Quite an eclectic list of requests this year and it made for a fun night. We also raised funds for a local charity Backpacks 4 SA Kids. (http://backpacks4sakids.org/).A wonderful cause supporting kids who find themselves dislocated from their home. Thanks to the many who came along and enjoyed the night and donated via our raffle.

2020-12 Xmas Dinner Dance
Our Xmas Dinner Dance in our new venue. What a great celebration of one heck of a year. We are so grateful to be dancing here in SA and a big thankyou to all our loyal dancers who stuck with us through a long closure and search for a new hall. We made it and we danced our hearts out! Great meal provided by Ivy & Joe from the West Croydon & Kilkenny RSL kitchen and a really nice way to end the year. We also took time to celebrate some birthdays including Dawn’s. See you all next year when we open on Jan 11th. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year and looking forward to more stable 2021.
2020-12 Plus Club Xmas dance
Our Plus club celebrates Xmas with the last dance for 2020. What a celebration after a year that will be remembered!!
2020-12 – We’re back Dancing again!!
We’re back!!
With the update of SA restrictions, the Adelaide Outlaws clubs are back dancing.
Plus this Wed 2 Dec at Kilburn.
Mainstream next Mon 7th Dec at West Croydon Kilkenny RSL.
So looking forward to seeing you all again!!
The regulations put us pretty much where we were before we shutdown – i.e:
- No social distancing required (we are a group who regularly associate with each other).
- Sanitising and cleaning as before.
- Contact tracing required
- No basket suppers
- No new learners yet
There are changes in the maximum numbers allowed in a venue. The density requirement is 1 per 4 sqm of area (it was 1 per 2 sq m).
For Wednesday night that translates to 52 people (6 ½ sets). Should be plenty.
For Monday night it translates to 80 people (10 sets). Again – plenty.
The other change is that check in for those with smartphones (mobile phones with apps) can be by scanning a QR code at the door.
If you don’t have a smartphone, the paper & pen check in will still be there.
2020-11 Temporary closure for 2 weeks
In response to SA Health’s directives following the recent Parafield cluster, we will be closed up to and including Mon November 30th.
Reason: Our club, and other clubs, have a Covid Safe Plan , which is different to the Management Plan which requires events to be cancelled. However, advice from SA Health is that no close contact dancing is allowed for this period. (Even weddings cannot have a bridal dance!)
We value your safety and fully support SA Health’s efforts to contain this outbreak.
Whilst it is disappointing to close again, we will do our part to reduce likelihood of transmission.
The full details of the new directives can be found on the SA Health website on this LINK.
We’ll update everyone with any changes to this and of course confirm when dancing can resume.
Please spread the word.
Can’t wait to see you all again SOON!
