Our annual Easter Dance was enhanced with the Graduation of our Intermediate dancers into Mainstream. Congratulations to Rosie, Clayton & Tianna – look forward to seeing more of you on the dance floor.
As March rolls around, it’s time for our annual St Patrick’s Spud night. Thanks to O’Laughlins for providing the spud van and serving the hungry group. Great to see everyone dressed in greens and we enjoyed dancing to some Irish music – jigs and some songs.
We had the pleasure of hosting a dance for Canadian caller Jerry Jestin. Jerry was on a world tour marking his retirement from calling and was catching up with all the people he has known over his 50+ years in the business. We were thrilled with the response and a wonderful crowd enjoyed Jerry’s night of Plus, Rounds and Mainstream dancing. Thanks to all who attended and for the very extensive supper spread!
Our annual St Valentine’s Dance is always popular. We combine a Valentine’s theme, a pre-loved clothing sale, dancer requests and we donate all proceeds to a voted charity. Enjoy the video – it has snippets of the evening including Learner and Mainstream brackets and all the music you hear was requested by our dancers.
Congratulations to our latest group who completed the Plus Program! A very dedicated bunch and big thanks to Yvonne (on the right) who made the certificates and even presented a novel trophy to the teacher!! (Beats an apple :-))
Our annual celebration of Australia Day – we put on a BBQ beautifully prepared and cooked by the Largs Bay Rotary Club. Dancers dressed in Australian colours and the hall was adorned with some eye catching decorations. Thanks to those who helped set up and pack away and especially all our dancers who created a fun atmosphere.
As another year draws to a close, we finished with our Xmas dances. On Monday a roast Xmas dinner was catered to our Mainstream dancers and Learners groups and whilst doing that we managed to dance dance dance. Thanks to the many helpers who set up the hall and all who created the wonderful happy atmosphere. In amongst all this time was taken to celebrate Dawn’s Birthday.
At the Wed Plus club we danced and enjoyed a Festive supper. We had a surprise visit from Brodie and Emily Reid – James’ offspring and again celebrated birthdays – Dawn, Emily and Blythe.
Merry Christmas to all our dancers and thanks for your support during the year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

We were thrilled to welcome 2 visitors to our Wednesday Plus club recently. Jutta and Mark from the Black Forest region in Germany dropped in for a night of Plus with us. They are enjoying a “just retired” world trip and really had a ball dancing with us as they were quite apprehensive about the language. No problem! Happy travels.
Our caller Graham turned 60 and both the Plus and Mainstream clubs helped celebrate.

HALLOWE’EN – As many clubs do, we held a Hallowe’en theme night last Mon 29th Oct. Learners, intermediates and Mainstreamers alike dressed the part and enjoyed the decorations, music and the food – oh yes, the food!
