Our caller Graham turned 60 and both the Plus and Mainstream clubs helped celebrate.
Thanks to Yvonne for all her creativity and to President Stephen for the nice presentation on the Monday.

HALLOWE’EN – As many clubs do, we held a Hallowe’en theme night last Mon 29th Oct. Learners, intermediates and Mainstreamers alike dressed the part and enjoyed the decorations, music and the food – oh yes, the food!

2018-09 Robert & Heather tie the knot

Robert has been dancing with us for 13 years and Heather joined our learners intake in 2017. She’s now a fleet-footed Mainstream dancer and their eyes met across the crowded dance floor ….

Married on Wed 26 September and enjoying the dance of marriage!
We celebrated at the club with a wedding arch the Monday after.
Congratulations!!

2018 Sept 15th – 33rd Birthday – Rock’n’Roll Theme

We turned 33! A real fun night as we celebrated our 33rd Birthday with a Rock’n’Roll theme. Thanks so much to the helpers who decorated and ran the catering and to the visiting callers – Les, Ian and John. Rock and Roll music, decorations and outfits kept the place buzzing.

Another celebration of Fathers’ Day comes around. Still running our learner and intermediate groups, all joined in for a fun evening. Everyone looked great in blue and so did Diana’s posters – so fitting to the theme. Thanks to all who came along.

2018 July 2nd – American Night

Our American theme night was held this year on 2 July and a wonderful collection of red, white & blue outfits were worn by our dancers. We dance to songs that traverse us across the USA (eg: New York, New York, Key Largo, Georgia, Route 66, Hollywood) and the one shown in the video – American Pie.
A great supper with mini hot dogs, donuts just tops off the night.

2018 June 11th – Charity Dance

As a precursor to our next intake of learners AND to raise funds for the Cancer Council of SA, we hosted a Charity Dance.
A wonderful crowd from the public and square dancers alike enjoyed a couple of hours of being shown what fun this great activity is and how different it is to their memories of many years ago.
Big thanks to the club members who provided a huge spread of supper – a real treat after all that exercise!
Now onto 6 weeks of open nights to launch our new learners’ intake.

2018 June 4th – Graduation & Pancakes

A double celebration. Our Intermediates graduated into Mainstream. Congratulations to Heather & Bruno and to Shirley who used to dance but wanted to “brush up”.
The night was fuelled by pancakes cooked in the hall by Scott and Kay from the “Pancake King”. Always entertaining and popular.

Our annual celebration of Mothers’ Day. Many dressed in pink and we did enjoy a hearty chocolate supper. Thanks to all who joined us.

2018 April – National Square Dance Convention in Perth

A group of us travelled over to Perth for the 59th Australian National Square Dance Convention. A Nautical/Cruise theme brought out the best costumes and great decorations. We thoroughly enjoyed the convention and thanks to our dancers who represented us in a dressed set on the Saturday night.
