And so we celebrate Xmas and wrap up another year of dancing at the Adelaide Outlaws Club. A wonderful crowd took part in the meal (cooked and served by Cheryl’s Kitchen) and the dancing. We had the three groups involved – our newest learners, intermediates and our Mainstream dancers. What a lovely atmosphere and we wish you all the best for the holiday season and look forward to seeing you again in 2018.
Here’s a video of one of the singing calls – The Drifters version of “White Christmas” – thanks to Maryka J for the video and you can find more from that night on her Youtube channel Maryka SJ.

What a great way to finish up 2012! We put on a catered roast dinner and then ran a night of square dancing alternating levels for our Mainstream dancers and learners. There was a great crowd and really happy atmosphere. Thanks to Les Tulloch for dropping in and giving us a call and a couple of Rounds.
Looking forward to another year of fun at the Ouitlaws – we open again on Jan 14th at 8pm at learners level (but everyone’s invited) then on the 21st with learners at 7pm then MS at 8pm.
Have a great Xmas and New Year everyone – thanks for all your support.

2011 December 19th – Christmas Party

And so this is Christmas – another year over, a new one just begun. It was a great way to finsih off 2011. A huge gathering of dancers came to celebrate Chritmas and they brought food – man did they bring food! The hall looked great and we thank our committee and helpers for starting early to put all that together.

Suddenly the familiar Christmas music was interrupted by the instantly recognisable sufin music of “Wipeout” as two lifesavers brought a rather Aussie looking Santa into the hall on a surf canoe. Well – no snow here in Australia so Santa thought he’d aclimitise! Thanks to Eddie and Rosalie the lifesavers and to Graeme Zilm – aka Santa dude.

We wish you all the best for the Festive Season and thank you all for your support in 2011. Look forward to seeing you in 2012. We open up on:

MS Monday January 16th

Plus Wednesday January 18th

2010 Dec 20th – Christmas Dinner Dance

So this is Christmas – look what we’ve done! What a great way to finish off our 25th year. A hall full of happy dancers and a great atmosphere! We celebrated our Xmas with a Roast Dinner catered by Ikonic Kitchen of Torrensville. Amazingly everyone was well fed ready for the dancing to begin. A big thanks to our committee and helpers who came Sunday night prior to set up and helped pack away at the end of a busy night. Thanks to Thelma for cueing some rounds for us and to Santa’s “helper” Chris Carter for making a Santa Sumo suit look so appealing!

Amongst many December birthday’s celebrated, the club presented Dawn with a her “pressie” for her big day and Graham was given his Xmas present despite still being on Santa’s naughty list (well nearly). Our new graduates are now part of our Mainstream club and it was great to see them joining in the full night for the first time.

We wish all our square dance friends everywhere a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and look forward to hitting the floorboards with you in 2011.

Special thanks to our club members who support us so well and made our 25 years such an enriching experience. We look forward to many more!
