Another year rolls by and we celebrated with a Movie and Musicals theme. Thanks to so many who came along and helped us celebrate. So many did dress for the occasion and the hall looked great – Oscars, movie slide show and posters, not to mention the three usherettes bringing popcorn, lollies and chips.
Big thanks to Peter (Scotty) Scott, Les Tulloch, Jeff Seidel, John Casey and Ian Rutter for joining us on the program and to Thelma McCue for cueing rounds.
Congratulations to our 10 year life membership recipients and Laurie – a 20 year Gold Membership award.
Here’s to many more years!

Just some fun shots from our 41st State Convention. Dawn was asked to open the Convention because this was her 40th Convention. Also a shot here of Graham with the feature caller – Paul Long from WA. A little joke re the football game on at the same time – West Coast Eagles (WA) vs Crows (SA). Paul decked Graham out in the Eagles colours!

2016 August 19 – 21 – Visit to Acey Squares 10th Birthday Naracoorte

Sixteen good timing Outlaws dancers with Graham and Dawn journeyed 4hrs to the State’s south east to join Acey Squares at their 10th Birthday celebration. Their feature caller was Brian Hotchkies and the event was a Friday night, Sat afternoon & night and Sunday breakfast affair. We thoroughly enjoyed our club outing and the constant rain could do little to dampen our enthusiasm. Congratulations to Chris and Alan Hall on their club’s 10th and we look forward to seeing you again at a dance.

2016 August 15th – Tribute to Pamela

What a lovely tribute! So many people came along to pay respects to one of our long term members Pamela Thomson. Pamela sadly passed away on the morning of this function and whilst a dance was planned to celebrate her 25 years of dancing with us, it became a tribute dance.
Well over one hundred people came from many clubs – square and round dance. This was a real testament to how many people she had made friends with.
Her daughter Nola had put a lot of work into catering and planning the event and juggled this with caring for her mother in the last few weeks. We can only imagine how difficult this was and yet, the big crowd would have been some consolation.
Thanks to Thelma McCue for cueing and Jeff and Ian for calling in honour of Pam.
A big thanks to all who came and really demonstrated the joy of friendships we have in square dancing.

Albeit 2 weeks after July 4th, we celebrated American Night with colourful outfits, hall decorations and dancing thru the US states via the songs. Great to have Di and Paul Ashton join us for the night too.

Congratulations to our latest group of dancers who have just completed the Mainstream program. Welcome to the wonderful world of club dancing.
It was a fun night also celebrating Easter with loads of Hot Cross Buns & chocolate eggs. Our Square Dance Society president Heather was also there to welcome the group.
Dance your hearts out everyone!

As we approach St Patrick’s Day we celebrate an Irish theme and serve spuds for tea. A lovely crowd joined us for pre-dance dinner and a fun night. Our learners are now only 2 weeks away from completion and also joined us for the dining extravaganza!
Thanks to the team of helpers who set up the hall decorations and dining arrangements.

Using Valentine’s as a theme we again host our annual Charity dance. All proceeds from door admission, raffle and sale of pre-loved clothing going to a charity voted by the members. This year it will be to the aid organisations that supported the Pinery fires response and support.
Thanks to everyone for your donations and a special thanks to Nigel and Sheila who looked after the clothing store.
